Fullness of life for all, through working together with the love of Christ

Our Year 3 Class

Hello and welcome to Year Three!

We are now settling well in to the juniors. We are expanding our skills and knowledge of what Key Stage 2 has to offer. We will continue to embed our previous learning from Year Two.

In Year Three, we are continuing to show increasing independence, resilience and curiosity through asking and answering deeper thinking questions. We work hard to challenge ourselves in everything that we do.

As a class, we aim to show kindness and fairness through work and play. We are thankful for the opportunities that Year Three will bring.

Already, we are showing a love for reading and we are enthusiastic about the units of work we will cover including: The Stone Age, Ancient Greeks, Rocks and Fossils, Forces and Magnets.

Our homework is given out on Thursdays and will be related to what we have covered that week or research for what is ahead. Homework needs to be returned on Tuesdays by Teams or sent in on paper. Spellings tests are also carried out on Thursdays with the new words to practise sent home with the children on the same day.

Book bags need to be in school everyday so that children have the opportunity to read as much as possible and to practise their rocket words. We encourage children to read a wide variety of books and we are working on building the resilience and stamina to complete longer texts in Year Three.

We hope to make the most of everyday together by showing a fullness of life for all.

We have such an exciting year ahead with so many incredible learning adventures to be part of.

Thanks for visiting the Year Three page,

Miss Cadwallader
