Welcome to Year 6 with Mrs Jukes!
Year 6 is a very important as we are getting ourselves ready for secondary school. We are also the oldest children in the school and we have lots of responsibilities. Another important part of Year 6 is SATs, which will be happening in May. We are working extremely hard to do as well as we can. In Year 6 we try to do as much as we can to contribute to whole school life. Some of us are Play Leaders, and give up some of our lunchtimes to help the younger members of our school. We also get chance to go on residential and to stage an end of year production. It is a very exciting year group to be a part of!
During the year we will work hard to improve our skills in the core subjects and we will be doing some very exciting Topic work!
Our homework is set on a Thursday and collected in the following Tuesday. The majority of our homework will be Literacy and Numeracy however we are sometimes set a research project that is linked with our Topic work. There will also be homework which will help to improve our times tables and handwriting.
Spellings are handed out on a Thursday and are tested the following Friday.
P.E is on a Wednesday and a Friday.
